NMC is experienced in condition and valuation surveys for pre-purchase or insurance requirements and casualty and damage surveys in the event of a marine loss. We work with underwriters, vessel owners, and repair yards to ensure that the proper repairs are made and operations can return to normal in a timely manner.

We are able to employ state of the art undersea technologies to locate and investigate sunken vessels.  Successful operations have been completed locating and recovering small vessels for evidence in serious injury cases. Additionally, success was also achieved in the location and investigation of a suspicious loss in the deepest part of Puget Sound. In over 900 feet of water, the vessel was located and evidence was found that proved that the vessel was intentionally scuttled by the crew.

We are able to review vessel operator and witness statements, providing claims adjusters with a review of duties and obligations of mariners under the Navigation Rules in order to help establish relative responsibilities and liabilities in collision losses.
